E21 Releases 2 New Carrots
Every ICAST since its introduction in 2007 Carrot Stix has released new rod designs to thrill anglers. ICAST 2011 was no different. This year Element 21 released the Wild Black and the Wild Green designed to be lightweight and sensitive. Both rods are 10% lighter than any other Carrot Stix rods released and will retail for about $129.
Both the Black and Green Wild rods have shaved off eight grams with new coating and assembly systems. The new system eliminates label and decorative coatings that fade and discolor over time and add the extra weight. These rods were designed with dual helical bias construction and a cork grip behind the reel seat for increased sensitivity and an even lighter rod.
The Wild Black features Fuji Alconite Micro Guides mounted directly on the blank with high modulus sictop to decrease the overall weight, increase sensitivity and resist line wear for a better fishing experience. The Wild Black is available in both spinning and baitcasting rods from 6'6" to 8'0".
The Wild Green; for inshore green fishing, features color coded saltwater rods; the gold winding check and thread decoration for speckled trout and the red is for redfish and larger species so anglers can tell which rod to use with a quick glance. The new pacbay deep pressed frame zirconia top (size 6) and special Fuji Alconite frame stripper guide allows for knots to pass through without restriction. Spinning and baitcasting models are available in 7'0" - 7'6".
