Day 2 of the LBAA Neely Henry Tournament is Underway!
The Lady Bass Anglers Association (LBAA) launched their 2013 Pro Tour on Lake Neely Henry yesterday March 8th which was a slow day following the bitter cold front. Lisa Johnson (pictured here) emerged as the day 1 leader with a total weight of 10.15 for five fish. An early bite was the key to day one according to the leaders. "This week has been hard on all of our anglers but I was able to find a good cluster of fish today. I caught my limit by 10 am and felt good about where I was" said Johnson.
Trailing just behind Johnson stands LBAA contender, Pam Martin-Wells weighing in five bass with a total of 9.63 followed in third place by Danielle McRae with 4.77 lbs
The ladies have hopes of a more productive day with the launch temperature at 35 degrees, much warmer than the start of day 1. The expected high today of 64, partly cloudy and a south wind that will quickly warm the brown stained water of the Coosa River and Lake Neely Henry to turn on the bite. The dedication, passion and skill of these lady anglers is expected to be revealed at today’s weigh in.
