First Turkey, Coyote

Game & Fish reader-submitted image.

Opening morning of turkey season in North Carolina. Gobbler came in around 6:50 and finally presented a shot about 10 minutes later. After shooting the turkey he ran to the woods. While we were approaching the turkey a coyote came running through the woods to try and get the turkey. I had to put the coyote down and then was able to collect my first gobbler!! It was an awesome morning!!

Third-Place Cat

cc-BenCat-575x1024

Ben LOVES hunting & fishing.

After 9 long years of his mother battling cancer she lost the fight in May of last year. This photo was taken 3 months after Jeannie passed. Ben won 3rd place in the Catfish Tournament.

They've stayed so strong and spend most of their time out on the river fishing!

I would love to win this boat for him and his dad who have taken me out on many trips and "showed me the ropes".

Thanks.
