ATA Show: New Bows for 2019

The annual Archery Trade Association (ATA) show is the bowhunting industry’s largest and longest-running trade show worldwide. Every year the event brings together everyone who contributes to the archery industry. It’s a very exciting time as vendors unveil new products for the incoming year.

This year, the exclusive, members-only show will take place in Louisville, Ky., Jan.10-12. There, any product related to the sport of archery and bowhunting will be debuted in high fashion as fanatics at home await big news on a new product that might change how they shoot or hunt.

Of course, the most exciting of these releases is in the hunting bow category. There will be too many new bows to count, but the following is a list of a few new bows worth paying close attention to.

Mathews Vertix | $1,099

The 2019 Vertix features SwitchWeight modules that allow the archer to change peak draw weight in five-pound increments. Available in 60-, 65-, 70- and 75-pound peak weights, each set of mods are programmed for an incredibly smooth draw. The new Engage Grip interface was designed to ensure consistent hand placement, reducing torque and increasing accuracy. While more versatile than ever, silence and efficiency remain king, and with 20-percent less vibration than the Triax, the Vertix delivers an experience that is both unexpected and unforgettable.
