Greatest Birthday Present
I set out trotlines in hopes of catching enough fish for my mother’s 84th birthday fish fry. The morning of July 2, mother’s birthday, I checked the lines. Caught on three 6/0 hooks, was an 88lb. bluecat. He had pulled 2 of the hooks nearly straight. I went in after him, running my hand through his mouth and out his gill. What a great birthday present this was!
