Anglers who usually frequent Yellowstone National Park will have to do their fishing somewhere else.

The (Spokane, Wash.) Spokesman-Review is reporting that Yellowstone is closing three of its rivers due to unusually warm water temperatures.

Affected rivers include: Gibbon River below Gibbon Falls; Firehole River below Keppler Cascades; and the Madison River.

Warm water, along with hot water caused by the park’s thermal activity, has caused the rivers’ temps to reach the 70s — much too warm for trout, which biologists say can cause stress or even death in the fish.

The Spokesman-Review added that more heat in the forecast could prompt park officials to close more fishing spots.
