A Perfect Fit

The design team at Maximus Crossbows packed the new ERGO with a combination of nine patents and/or patents pending to create a compact, ultralight, “ERGO-nomically” comfortable hunting tool. The ERGO weighs 7 pounds with optics and has an axle-to-axle dimension of 17 1/2 inches at rest and 16 inches when cocked. The undermount stirrup design and bull pup stock keep total length to 29 7⁄8 inches. The Trigger is a true 2.5 pounds with less than .03-inch of travel. Available in 150-pound and 175-pound models, the ERGO shoots a 400-grain bolt up to 330 fps. Each ERGO comes with a Maximus 100-yard reticle scope, quick-detach side-mount quiver and three Maximus Carbon Slayer bolts.

    I still have a Foxfire that shoots great (at least until the string finally goes Kaput). For less than $400 this is a great buy. I've been using a Horton since PSE stopped making xbows several years ago.

    I read $749 not $1700.

    This bow seems right in the middle of the most popular price points and far far far less expensive than comparable models.
