A ‘Bama Boo! Is This Trail Camera Image a Ghost?

by Game & Fish Staff   |  October 31st, 2011 17

Is this the image of Pot Weaver?

All manner of critters show up on trail cameras: deer, bear, raccoons, coyotes, cougars — there’s no end of wildlife images captured by the ever increasing outdoor recon network that’s being constructed by outdoorsman across the U.S..

But a ghost?

The Birmingham News is reporting that 26-year-old Zach Davis, a Concecuh County Sheriff’s employee, might have an image of a ghost on his trail camera that was captured this past saturday while he and his father-in-law were observing deer activity on one of their food plots.

The blurry image shows a man looking back at the camera wearing khakis pants and a plaid shirt. According to the report, locals believe the ghost is that of Pot Weaver, who lived on the property until his death in 1984.

Images taken before and after the “ghost image” show nothing other than deer and landscape. There are also no footprints or anything else that would indicate that someone had walked through there. And Davis and his father-in-law were watching the foodplot while the “event” occurred and report seeing nothing.

For the full spooky account of this “sighting,” make sure to check out the whole story available here.

What do you think? Have you ever experienced something paranormal in the woods?

I'm a non believer…but I also captured some strange images near an Alabama grave yard….everyone who views them agrees they are supernatural

C'mon guys – everybody knows that ghosts do not wear plaid ! !

  • Doug

Where do these "ghost" buy their clothes and with what?

  • Doc

Give me a break… This is what happens when someone wonders into your shot… The camera catches a couple of double exposures. That's it.

I am really concerned that an 'employee' of a sheriff's department either wouldn't know that or would be dumb enough to believe it was a ghost, rather than a camera artifact…

THAT IS VERY TRUE BUT OUR SOCIETY HAS SEEMED TO HAVE MISPLACED ITS MATURITY LEVEL OVER THE YEARS. LET SOMETHING HAPPEN TO THEM AND THE SERIOUSNESS KICKS IN…
