This is the kind of thing that happens when you don't listen to your wife and stay home and clean the shop.

Nice deer hope it was hunted fair chase. I just not a fan of game farm hunting, which will be the only hunting if these anti-hunting nuts have a say so.

From another source: "The buck field dressed at 170 pounds and was spotted a week earlier by the hunter as it walked down his grandmother's drive way. The buck was well known among some of the locals who had seen it over the past few seasons. "

Terry, as hunters, it is our responsibility to behave properly in front of folks who are anti-hunting. Those people usually feel that way because something really stupid that a hunter has done. I had a neighbor that only trophy hunted and never ate the meat from his kill. Then you have the rednecks who pull into the Walmart parking lot with a fresh kill in their truck uncovered. Congratulations on a beautiful buck! Trophy and meat for the winter.

I would rather see someone take the deer this way, than to see it rotting on the side of the road after being hit by car. I drive a truck all over the northeast and you wouldn't believe the amount of deer I see lying along side the road. At least this one won't be wasted. Congrats.

This buck was taken by East Haddam and is reported to green score 226-7/8 non-typical and is the new state record for CT.
The current state record NT scores 201-7/8 and was taken by Henry M. Konow Jr. from New London County in 2000. There are only 4 non-typical whitetail entries on record from Connecticut and 12 in the typical category.

What an incredible deer and i'm sure any one else who is a bow hunter would harvest this deer in a heartbeat under fair hunting conditions. A great way to show all the hunters from down south and the mid west that you don't always sit on a controlled food plot to shoot a deer of this caliber . ( dad-gum-it I'm just tickled to harvest a deer like this ,as they say in the south) AWESOME ! Yea one more thing,to all you anti hunter hypocrites who go to the market and eat red MEAT , find something else to do with your time and spend your money on a cause that can really help us all. So another words GO AWAY!
