Kevin Petrzilka was repairing some downed electric fence near Brainard, NE when he got a call from his son Mason, 17, saying he had just missed a monster buck, but the young man knew where the animal was at.
The father grabbed his rifle and other son, Dillon, 20, and headed out to help. After a quick meeting to set up a drive, the trio headed out to see if they could harvest the animal.
Peering through thick cedars, Kevin was able to get a shot off at the buck as it passed by quickly, dropping the animal that green scored 203 4/8, possibly a new Nebraska state record.
